riverson: as they say, I only know what I read in da papers. There was an article that came out in todays Wallowa County Chieftain. As I recall there was a short interview with Mr. Hammond where he said he had sold the YW recently making some cash available. He was looking to renegotiate the lease with WURA. He mentioned the possibility of hiring several workers to remove vegetation on the line. The article mentioned that the WURA board had taken on themselves to get the equipment winterized so nothing would freeze as Mr. Hammond had not done it. Perhaps the Chieftain article is or will be available on line. I think the on line version may lag the printed version by a day.
