Re: YWR sold?

According to Court, the YWR has been in escrow since last summer ... which surely makes it close to a record time for escrow. There are some legal problems that have to be settled.

However, rail continues to be removed and scrapped and Court insists it will be replaced with 90# rail, and of course it will require new ties.

I'm no railroad mogul. I'm just a dumb, retired cop. But even I know a railroad would not replace rail and ties where there's no freight or funding to do so.

As I understand one 'rumor,' (emphasis again on the word, rumor) a month ago or so some guy from San Diego offered to buy the YWR, but Court would not sell it to him unless the prospective buyer would "partner" with Court. Hmmmmmmm. Sounds like a deal to me!

In the mean-time, the Yreka soap-opera goes on with no end in sight. I beginning to wonder if I will live long enough to see the end of the story!

I know Court reads the posts here ... maybe he will be kind enough to set us straight, (again) on what's going on; and is there any future for the YWR?
