The WP units that had dual control were the GP7s, GP9s, GP20s, the first ten GP35s, and the U23Bs. In my experience, the long hood-facing stands were virtually never used.
Some BN SD7/SD9s had dual control (ex-CB&Q perhaps? I think all the ex-GN ones were long hood-first.), and they had the diagonal white stripes on both ends.
