Just curious. Does anybody have any idea how much money it takes to keep the Liberal KS to Belen segment up to 79 mph standards?

BTW. In anticpation of downgrading I rode the line in January. Loved the semaphores! Maybe BNSF can be convinced to donate them to RR museums if they agree to take them away.

I can imagine a 4-8-4 coming down the east (north) side of Raton would be a real white knuckle affair...
