Let's not forget Espee Narrow Gauge # 1, a GE 45 Ton end - cab locomotive that, from a distance resembled a 70 Tonner with a low clearance cab. Built in 1954 specifically to replace steam on the Owens Valley,CA., narrow gauge, it would live out its' days in Mexico after abandonment of the Espee Narrow gauge line in 1962.
