There is very little freight, other than the grain elevators, and between the yuppies, housing blocks right up against them, and wine grapes taking over they'll be gone eventually.

Meantime freight means you cannot have real electric transit. No ramps, no grade separations, very occasional service. No extension south to Marin City and beyond.

It seems the Thomas the tank engine allusion is appropriate as the NCRA-NWP is strictly an exercise in nostalgia and whimsy. Marin County is against the whole thing.

BTW according to the Sonoma County Transit driver I talked to the Graton Casino won't allow any public transit buses on their place. Some greenie and snooty poseurs. Video poker machines have very tight pay tables - I guess they plan to clean out the locals who are starved for real Nevada gambling.
