NO! - These "Trolls" are responding to the fact that though global warming has been observed to be accelerating for quite some time now (been happening off an on for at least 500 years); THERE IS NOT THING ONE anybody is going to actually do about it.

All the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put Humpty-Dumpty together again. And neither can they fix global warming! Even if our truly naked Emperor says so - HE CAN'T!

Whoops! I forgot - it's now called climate change - I must get my politically correct terms correct - mustn't I. But then again, "Climate Change" is nothing new. It was taught in public elementary schools all through the 50s, 60s, and into the 70s. But the big political sky is falling scenario that was in vogue back then was that; in our lifetimes we would see a new major ice age.

We were all taught ad nauseum the importance of preparing to adapt - or else. That is, when they (the teachers) weren't scaring the kids half to death with lessons on the coming nuclear annihilation of the planet. Of course, since you are still able to read this, that did not happen.

Well; neither did the ice age happen that they all kept yammering about 50-60 years ago. But what did happen was that in the last couple of decades, scientists have became increasingly cognizant of the planet's more recent warming. But evidences had been there ever since Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit offered a practical thermometer in 1724. In fact, since that time, temperatures have risen in many locations by 5 to 10 degrees and more. There is also evidence in the "geological record", that this warming had been happening off and on for several centuries before that.

No use denying global warming. However, theories abound as to it's specific causes. Some are quite controversial, even among important scientists. Those "Trolls' on this forum are not denying global warming, they are denying that CO2 emissions from man are the main culprit. There is in fact, significant evidence to the contrary. Even if CO2 has some such effect, it is likely miniscule; or the planet would have been uninhabitable from its beginning.

But whatever is causing it, is quite irrelevant to our survival. Even if CO2 was the main cause, and even if all mankind entirely gave up residence on this planet; still, the processes will continue unabated to its natural conclusion. Whatever that will be, it will be. And THERE IS NO USE DENYING THAT EITHER.

Better quit wasting time worring about its cause - mankind is NOT going to change it one iota. Better to spend all our efforts devising ways to adapt as its effects impose themselves. For instance, what will we do to repatriate refugees from coastal areas, should the sea level actually rise to that point. What if increased winds melt the glaciers (independent of temperature). What if it gets too hot in the tropics; where will all those people go and who will let them. What if...... What if......

Oh darn! I almost forgot. The fact is that power mongering politicians will see to it that we will never quit wasting time worrying about its cause. And most assuredly, they will not spend one thin minute figuring out how to adapt; but they will instead continue to use the issue to justify the greatest power grab since the fall of the Roman Senate.
