The only “conspiracy” going on here is the stupidity of people who post about this subject of the “poor” condition of the track SMART is building. There must be some sort of conspiracy to be intentionally stupid to try and achieve… I don’t even know what purpose. How else can you explain the complete lack of knowledge on the subject, much less the seemingly inability to observe the world around them, and specifically the inability to go and look at how class 1 railroads in North America do things? How many thousands of miles of track in North America have wood ties and 115lb rail are supporting freight and passenger trains? F^&%$#* a lot! Wood ties and 115lb rail are perfectly suited to freight and passenger use, GET OVER IT!!!!
