Brian Peoples is a complete IDIOT !! I just sat here and watched that whole stupid meeting of the RTC. The guy at the beginning, holding the sphere of the planet Earth, and talking about science, is another wacko. The young lady sitting behind him looked like she was spaced oit as well !
Brian Peoples wants ALL tracks removed NOW ! If it happened, I'll bet you would never see him on a bike pedaling thru the dunes. Ever !
Michael McBride (so-called business owner in Santa Cruz) is mis-informed on everything!
He was probably PAID by "Peoples" to make an appearance. He wanted to know if the Speeder operators are residents of the County ! NO !!!!!!
But what the hell does THAT have to do with granting a hobby organization an Annual one-time permit to operate a trip ??
I liked the Chairman of the RTC. He seemed like a fair-minded guy. But "Peoples Dude" did NOT like him "smiling" when he got up to speak the last time, under Item # 24.
I'm sure the Chair thought "Oh My God--it's HIM again" !!
"Peoples" refers to the rail corridor as a 200-foot wide "Recreation Train" or a Boardwalk sideshow. "Ellen Martinez" is a neighbor of Brian's in APTOS. She is totally against Speeder operation and wants the RTC to ban them. How 'bout if we all get together and BAN her from the County ?
These people need to be silenced NOW !
I know what the RTC is going thru. I have experienced it first hand ! I was Chairman of the Union City Transportation Commission; a member of the AC Transit Para-Transit Commission in Fremont; The Emergency Food Committee Chairman for the Homeless in Alameda County (that was fun...) as a member of the County's Social Service Commission, et al.
I have done my part.. So I know what it's like to sit there and listen to public input !
As far as GGRM being able to re-locate to the so-called "Triangle" area of the rail corridor as requested by Eric Child of GGRM..... Ain't goin happen !!!!
In my opinion, Brian Peoples needs to have a little talk with that ol' wise railfanette,
