Spot on observation. This rail trail is being advertised as a bike/walk/skate/etc. facility for everyone. The "serious" bike folks in SC take offence to sharing trails and do exactly what you say. West Cliff Drive has a lovely wide paved path its entire length. The serious bike folks balk at riding slowly so they spill out onto the narrow curvy road, swerving and riding 2-3 wide while dodging traffic and cars pulling in/out of parking.
