Thanks Dick and J. So, I'm looking at an NWP/CNW line sign that is rectangular and engraved. Doesn't have the cut corners like regular station signs. And the letters, which appear to be regular railroad script, are shallowly engraved, you can see it easily. Character are painted black, rest of sign is white.
The question is could this possibility be a California Northwestern or predecessor sign because I have seen pictures of some CNW depots and they have rectangular signs without the cut corners too. Although those signs are black with white lettering.
This sign could have been repainted at some point.
