The abandonment date for the Oakland District is correct. After that, Santa Fe used trackage rights on SP all the way from the west end of the Siberia Lead at the 23rd Street Yard in Richmond to reach their Wood Street Yard and industrial customers in Oakland, and to interchange with SP and Oakland Terminal Railway at 34th Street. Traffic to and from the Port of Oakland was handled by the OTR. That traffic included cars for the Oakland Army Base and the Alber's Mill.
As part of the original trackage rights agreement approved by the ICC, Santa Fe was granted rights on the SP all the way to the Alameda Belt Line yard to accomplish interchange with ABL, but Santa Fe negotiated a separate agreement for SP to handle the cars as overhead traffic. My somewhat fuzzy memory is that Santa Fe paid SP $43 per car moved.
