actually from an operational point of view, tracy makes more sense,
2472 was built for high speed long distance runs (slc to sparks),
running it at 25 mph is going to produce more wear and tear on the
mechnical equipment, also tracy has a straight run up the east side
of altamont, now embargoed), no more training sessions, ideal
operating environment for the 2472, plus all that out of service row
from altamont to livermore, would provide a more enjoyable journey,
rather thsn a half hour slow ride to either davenport or end of the
line at rvj, just saying, as everybody else has had their shot at a pipe dreasm
