This pretty much sums it up. It's a tough call. On my last incident, it wasn't just the act of running a man over that took its toll on me, but what happens next. I was interviewed by the city police, then the CHP, then the railroad police, then the UP manager. Just when I thought that was over, while waiting for a relief crew we were interviewed by the claims agent while she was there pulling the TIR tape.
After seeing it happen, then rehashing the story so many times over a few hours, I was done. We did pull the train off of crossings while waiting for relief though.
I don't see why one person couldn't have interviewed us and passed along the information.
