What happened to Whistle Stop Campaigning? -- Greedy Narrow minded Corporate railroading.


Back a bit, someone asked "with a population of over 300,000,000, why couldn't we have come up with better options?" Indeed a fit subject for some good old fashioned American sole searching.

I think it was Sir Edmond Burke that said “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men should do nothing.”


Well, GOOD MEN DID NOTHING!

They either declined to run because running for president is way too daunting, demeaning, and thoroughly corrupting. Or were locked out of relevant debate by a profoundly biased, sensationalist, and politically bigoted media circus. Thanks to such media corruption, much of political campaigning has become an ugly crucible, that quickly destroys good people; while those already at home in the heat of hell, adapt much more easily.


But let's face up to it. Hillary's biggest problem was not all the scandals themselves - though they didn't help. She was very adept at fooling enough people enough of the time. Her real problem was that after decades of her and her husband's own foul and offensive campaign styles, people were deaf to her. Mr. trump was a perfect match in that regard - almost. But he managed to be heard because he was new and more shocking. In other words, years and years worth of pure Kharma finally caught up with the Clintons.

All those history challenged protesters, as unAmerican as protesting the electoral process really is; need to go home and chill out. Despite my own very low opinion of Mr. Trump; I feel very hopeful that things will turn out OK in the end. But not because of him mind you. The genius of Our Found Fathers will play out for the good of the Nation - regardless of what Trump does or does not do.

Rest assured, that Mr. Trump will meet his own Kharma soon enough. He must now govern! But with what political infrastructure - he has none. He must govern with a Congress where both sides of the isle thoroughly despise him!


Wow! What an opportunity! Perhaps the Democrats and the Republicans in Congress will discover they actually have a common enemy - and thereby learn to compromise for their mutual benefit - and the nation's. Maybe they could then provide the check and balance against Presidential despotism that the Constitution envisioned. Something that has been very lacking for a long time now.

Maybe Congress will finally, after decades and decades of passing the buck to the administrative branch, take back from him (and all future Presidents) those powers that rightfully belong to the legislature in the first place. The current Speaker of the House has already been making such noises for weeks now.

Now - if we are really really lucky - maybe Americans putting on some sack cloth and ashes might help too - the States will also be returned to their proper Constitutional place in governance. We would then be reset - ready for the next 250 years as a free people.

Yeah - I know. Idealistic and all that stuff! But at 67 years old, one must have some hope for one's grandchildren. Maybe the people can unite enough to push Congress to make this opportunity real.
