Re: Survey says voters like SMART

The fringe rail haters, represented by the bizarre alliance between extremist righ wingers and wierd anti-environmental "environmentalists", appear to only represent a very small minority in Marin, as this poll seems to indicate. But, as you see from the Novato Newspaper posting the usual suspects will grow more shrill everyday. This is the same shrill minority attacking the NWP improvements, as a tactic to block SMART. There is a similar shrill minority on the west side of LA that is trying to stop the Expo line, using the same types of tactics. False fears spread by irrational nimby's or special interest schill's should not hold the vast majority hostage to high gas prices, or a failure to invest in the future. I have faith in the vast majority of those citizens in the "middle" in Marin and Novato to eventually see through such tactics and deception, and do what is sensible.
