Hi Everybody--
There has been a lot of talk among railroaders and politicians about "Positive Train Control" (PTC) and the expense and benefits thereof !
Many years ago, several commuter railroads used "Continuous Cab Signal & Speed Control System" designed by General Railway Signal of Rochester, NY and used on lines of the Key System, the PRR, NYC and elsewhere. I would appreciate some comments from folks like Dr. Zarkoff, Ole Pole Burner, and others, as to how this older system (whose design was already known) could have been improved and used as a form of "PTC" in today's World !! And maybe save a tremendous amount of money !!
