Caption information from image on my site:

000761 New Austrian class 1016 electric locomotive, introduced in 2000, which, together with the variant class 1116, will become the new standard motive power of the Austrian Federal Railways, shown at Innsbruck, Austria.

Nicknamed the "Taurus" (or bull), the class 1016 is a general-purpose main line Bo-Bo (four-axle) locomotive, designed to meet both the demands of hauling freight trains up steep mountain grades and the need to move important international passenger trains at increasingly faster speeds. With a rating of nearly 10,000 horsepower and a top speed of 230 km/h (140 mph), the locomotive should be able to fulfill both tasks.

The class 1016 will be able to operate into Germany and Switzerland, which use the same electrical systems; sister class 1116 contains addition equipment for being able to operate in neighboring countries which use other electrical standards.
