I always wondered why BART makes that incredibly STUPID "dive" into the ground between the airport flyover and the Millbrae station. That little excursion "down under" probably cost as much as the Millbrae mega-terminal (one of the WORST designs on record) for no reason at all other than to avoid a highway crossing. THAT could have been eliminated by a road underpass for 1/10 the cost!

And the plans for the proposed Santa Clara BART terminal are almost a carbon-coy of this mess - WAYYY overbuilt and totally out of proportion to the amount of traffic that would ever pass through it.
