If that is your interpretation of what I said about how we fund our transportation infrastructure, then I can only conclude by this goofy response, that you've kind of made my case about the harmful effects of such simplistic ideological reasoning.
While you have raised an issue that is off topic, to attack me based upon your dubious perception of what you think I represent, I actually tend to support a comprehensive single payer health care system with universal coverage.
But, I tend to support that health care policy option for very pragmatic reasoning, as I have observed that the first world countries, that have adopted this lower overhead health care model, all spend a significantly lower percentage of GDP on health care than us. Also because all of the statistical evidence seems to show that most of these single payer universal coverage models have healthier populations overall, as measured by life expectancy. Which with most of these single payer universal coverage health care systems, for that much lower societal cost, seem to have at least equal, and often much better health care outcomes (including positive non medical outcomes like way fewer personal bankruptcy's) than either our current "semi" universal "public/private" with high overhead model, or our previous health care insurance model, of I hope you have it, maybe if you have a good job, where you work, or you're pretty screwed if you get anything serious....
But, no, I admit this support for a single payer universal coverage health care model is not because I'm holding my breath waiting for the peoples revolution to seize the means of production from the evil capitalist oppressors, who sell me my beer and toilet paper, and produce those "evil" profits, which fund a good part of my pension.
Now, after hearing from you what an uncaring capitalist pig I am, who would take health care away from folks...(talk about off topic and not related to anything I said), I can now hear from some of the morons on the other end of the political fringe, about how I am a libtard socialist stooge.....
