Another really nice ride is a bit out of the way ( OK - a lot out of the way), but I would rank the ride out of Fort Brag, Ca behind steam to rank right up there; not so much for sweeping vistas (doesn't have any), but for the deep redwood forests it goes through - up close and personal. Those big two thousand year old Sequoias take my breath away. They're awesome! Another nice spot was the Santa Cruz Big Trees & Pacific evening train thru the redwoods.

Don't know if either place is still running
