Am not sure there is sufficient population north of Lancaster to make extension of the Metrolink AV line pencil out.

OTOH, congestion is a huge problem in the I-15 corridor in Riverside County, so maybe consideration ought to be given to extending the Perris line, or alternatively using the old Santa Fe Elsinore branch ROW to reach Temecula.

And since airport access inevitably comes up, how about routing those trains via ONT airport?
