Rosamond is in Kern County but really is part of the Antelope Valley urban conglomeration. With all the development that's happened in the last 15-20 years out there, I could easily see Metrolink extending out that far. Nearly a no-brainer if they can get the right of way (the AV line parallels UP (former SP) in the high desert, with no connection except where UP connects just before going into Soledad Canyon for its trackage-rights freights). Beyond there (Mojave, etc.), I'm skeptical until I see some credible studies.

Yay, the pdf finally downloaded. Now I can see what they were dreaming of beyond Rosamond.
