It is my understanding that the PTC mandate was included and incorporated into the Amtrak authorization bill. The President says he will veto this bill, but there appears to be support to override that veto. In a week where we are giving away $700 billion in tax money to the wealthiest screwups in America, rail safety and an actual increase in productivity for the investment may seem at least as important.
