As I said, you really do appear to know nothing about the details of the Orlando extension, except for one story that you've read (found) in one local paper in South Florida, where the local speeds will only be "up to 110 mph.". But, did you actually read original post?

And, the last time I checked, it's not my job to do this research for you, unless of course, the CAHSRA wants to pay my fully allocated Caltrans approved consulting rate, to help you get your spin straight. But, have you tried the "real" Wikipedia?

Virgin Trains America Wikipedia

No, the world is not envious at all, as you noted in your earlier post....nor should they be. But, then Virgin-Brightline is about building an affordable (to build, operate, and ride)rail system, that can potentially make a profit, not dealing with our supposed international "high speed" rail "envy" issues.

Nor should high speed rail be about fleecing the CA taxpayer with an expensive (to build, to operate, and to ride) bloated taxpayer financed boondoggle, just to make the rest of the world "envious" of our supposed HSR prowess.

I'm a bit old fashioned. I know that. But I've always thought that in a democracy, we should probably try to stick to spending the public's monies for the public good, or on real public "needs", and not to deal with things like our Freudian high speed rail insecurities.

Envy is one of my favorite deadly sins, though....right up there with greed...
