Solid point about government agencies. But Sonoma County doesn't have the money that Marin has to burn and has bit the bullet before. They dumped Golden Gate Transit and set up Sonoma County Transit because they wanted a cheaper union.

It will be interesting to see how snooty Sonoma County can afford to be towards the Rohnert Park casino, which represent a billion dollar private investment against a backdrop of economic decline. Don't believe the bs about the financing drying up - this is a goldmine location, 45 minutes from SF at nighttime. I guess if Sonoma County can afford to turn down the casino it can afford to bankroll NCRA-NWP-SMART in perpetuity.
