Do new technologies like EV's really scare you that much?
You seem to be the one having the meltdown. Instead of answering my calm and reasonable question of why I should be forced to pay a bunch of money to install a home charger and buy an EV, you resort to an immediate straw man, the first of several. Not sure how a live and let live attitude, "you can have EV's but don't force them on me," translates into 'scared that much' by EV's.
Then all the further straw men below in your long rant. So you could try to lump me in with the extremists crazies and thus avoid answering most questions and avoid actual discussion. Looks like u were afraid how the conversation would go so like a politician went into, "The other side is crazy so I don't have to address their points." What a copout.
I'm not against hydrogen experiments. Nor conversions if they prove reliable and cost effective. I don't recall posting about them. So there's no reason to accuse me of being against it. Another straw man.
There are annectdotoal studies with small samples or specific causal based circumstances "fires in garages", but on average in these large sample studies, for any give year the numbers for gasoline fires in gasoline vehicles occur as higher rates... And, I know that aggregate numbers like that can suck, when folks don't like them...
You should see the ration of crap I get from some of the "new urbanist" "true believers", when I calculate the emissions increases from some of their favorite schemes, or show that some of what they "assume" a benefits "should" be, are contradicted by the data, and I'm told that I don't "believe" enough...
