I am curious about how others view the linked picture. It was originally rejected on Railpix for having too much noise, and accepted upon appeal. It is a pretty much full frame scan of a Kodachrome II original. The original was in fact somewhat grainy, which surprised me because most of my Kodachrome II slides are almost grainless. My primary question is I'm wondering if us old time film shooters are less sensitive to "noise", since we were used to dealing with sometimes grainy film. But second, since the original was surprisingly grainy, did Kodachrome have some grain problems with some of the original Kodachrome II either from production or processsing of a new emulsion. Later KRII slides are virtually grainless.
Too much noise?
