Vuescan RAW

I currently use a Nikon Super Coolscan 5000....and really prefer Vuescan to the Nikon software.

Your comment about Vuescan RAW is interesting, have not tried it. Having only recently switched from film to digital, I am only beginning to appreciate the advantages of camera RAW. Not sure how Vuescan RAW compares to RAW coming out of a camera, but it sounds interesting. Clearly camera RAW can "save" a lot of shots that don't get exposed correctly for whatever reason.

Unfortunately I shot a lot of Kodachrome 200 in its day. It truly was awful, but how awful was was not really apparent until I started scanning it. Projecting slides covered up a lot of faults.

Thanks to all for the feedback.
