It's kinda fun researching these old pix. Table Rock sounds like a good guess with regard to location, although a Google Earth search didn't provide any additional evidence other than the main track seperation. By checking some old Western Railroader's I have pinned the date down to November 11, 1961, and the fare from Cheyenne to Ogden was $22.50. And it was the return leg of some kind of R&LHS Mississippi River tour, not a New England fall color which was what my failing memory recalled. But again relying on that questionable memory, I seem to recall that part of the entertainment enroute was one of the matronly lady passengers really putting the make on the handsome uniformed UP conductor, who was trying to hide in one of the roomettes.
