I don't believe Metrolink engineer Robert Sanchez was a member of the Screen Actors Guild, such as the people you've cited here, or that he used a "stage name" such as the people you've cited here. Are you trying to blur the issue?

It's generally a pretty good clue. Granted, there are exceptions. But, as gathered from newspaper and other media accounts, I believe Mr. Sanchez had some ethnic heritage associated with Mexico or some country south of our border. If I can't prove it, I, likewise, invite you to DISprove it.

And, besides, even if Mr. Sanchez was NOT Hispanic, his surname probably worked to his advantage in his getting hired by U.P., Amtrak and, later, Connex. This goes back to those controversial "hiring quotas" I touched on in a previous post. Some people are in a state of denial that such hiring quotas even exist. I am not one of those people.

Oh. So you're writing off newspapers in general as so much worthless garbage? Are you familiar with the Pulitzer Prize? The Los Angeles Times has accumulated many of them. They wrote an in-depth article about Sanchez and his deceased gay lover. Google it. There were news accounts of the relatives of the deceased gay lover maintaining that the gay lover may not have commited suicide but, rather, that foul play may have been involved and Sanchez had a role in it.

Probably not. I fear the NTSB has fallen victim to political correctness just like everyone else. Barney Frank is probably involved in their funding appropriations.

The NTSB revealed what was distracting Sanchez from competently operating a train. He was text messaging a teen-age boy. Sanchez was gay. There's no disputing that. If necessary, talk to the surviving relatives of his deceased gay lover for confirmation.

Let me ask you: Is it appropriate for a 47-year-old single gay man to be calling and text messaging a teenaged boy in hopes of becoming "buddies" with him? This was occurring to a point where Sanchez was concerned that it would anger the boy's father.

Such behavior is most certainly not appropriate if it reaches a point where the 47-year-old gay man loses "situational awareness" in running a train loaded with passengers.

In an indirect way, the report DID make a mention of Sanchez' gayness. The complete transcripts of what "Person A" and Mr. Sanchez discussed are available on the NTSB website.
