Don't expect to see any pollution reduction relating to the NWP swinging into operation and reducing some heavy trucks in the near future. There is a washout now at the Corona road crossing in Petaluma and I suspect that equipment seen there a few weeks ago was cleaning out the culvert. But this means that the "speeder group" will be limited to running their vehicles only to that point. Since they are the only folks doing any sort of maintance their access will be limited from there South to the Petaluma station. I have no idea if Gillotti has finished their work at the Sonoma/Marin border, but the absence of sighting any of their trucks or equipment in the area leads me to conclude that project was another grand plan. I would project a realistic start up date of 2050 or later.
