So you're saying that our economy can only thrive if we have a limitless supply of cheap, Third World exploitable, illegal labor? If so, something is DEFINITELY wrong. To stay "competitive in the global marketplace", are you saying we're going to have to make the same measly wages as people in mainland China? If so, God help us.
Believe it or not, once upon a time, before business owners and consumers weren't hypnotized by low prices spawned from cheap, exploitable labor, all those things you described were performed honestly, and people were paid a fair and decent wage.
Yours is the same line of thinking that has people burying their heads in the sand like an ostrich when they're buying junk made in China at Wal-Mart that they know darn good and well was manufactured in sweat shops, more often than not with cild labor.
But who cares, as long as the price is right? Right?
