You can kill this thread real quick if it bothers you so much. THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY - SO JUST DON'T READ IT !
There! All done - It was easy, wasn't it?
And simple enough even, that even the most rabid fascist moron could do it, rather than have to deny others their freedom to read it if they want. Or do you actually propose to deny freedom of speech; or are we all supposed to just bow down and kiss up, rather than ever say anything you disagree with.
As to the issue at hand, the new Arizona law is doomed from the start - whether or not it is a good idea. The fact is that the U.S. Constitution specifically denies the States any say so, over immigration what-so-ever. That power has been given solely to the congress, to set immigration law and to have it enforced.
Anyone (of any race) the state bothers to arrest for illegal immigration, must therefore be turned over to the FEDS. And they may or may not care to do anything about it - usually depending upon whether whatever corrupt scumbag in the White House at the time, wants to actually enforce laws already on the books - or not.
I personally wish they would actually enforce the law, or change the law to suit their own politics, so they would at least be willing to enforce that law.
The failure to enforce the law, is profoundly OBSCENE; and is creating a serious breach of that very same American Idealism that created this country in the first place. The consequence being that millions of people are becoming an American lower class, just because they are illegal. Moreover, they are then seriously exploited with substandard wages and working conditions. These people are intelligent human beings; but because they are illegal, they can't complain or organize or do anything to protect themselves, as they definitely would be doing, if they were properly and legally here. They would be no different in that regard, than any other American would be, to improve their lot in life - and insist on the same human dignity and respect, that our own Declaration Of Independence preaches.
Yea, that's right. They wouldn't be working in those fields, or on the railroad track, any harder than any other American would - except for the exploitable state they find themselves trapped in by illegally entering. The fact is that illegal immigration is all about MONEY MONEY MONEY - and nothing more. There are still many "Plantation Owners" in America who still want cheap or even slave labor.
But they can get it only by promoting illegal immigration. And they often promote it by race bating anyone who opposes illegal immigration. Sadly, in dummied down America, there seems to be enough "Useful Idiots" out there, that they can usually get away with it. But it's really only about MONEY MONEY MONEY !
If you really want them to assimilate, and actually join us in our prosperity and culture, then you would of course insist upon reasonable and righteous immigration reform - and RIGOROUS ENFORCEMENT of whatever laws we then agree too.
But like it or not - the Feds and the Feds alone have the lawful power to do something about it - or not. If the people really want this fixed, they are going to have to actually elect some different people to Congress and the Presidency - as the last four Presidents starting with the current one) and umpteen Congresses before, republicrat or demican, have flatly refused to do it.
Did I mention - IT'S All About MONEY MONEY MONEY!
OPB
PS - Oh, I almost forgot - If we Americans, of whatever national origin, ain't willing to go pick strawberries, or mow hay, or build cities, or build high speed railroads, or do whatever; Then we just plain don't really deserve to have these things in the first place - period!
