OK, I'll chech the definition of scab. In the meantime, would you consider what will happen to the future of good, well-established craft-protected jobs that even today aren't but a shell of what they were? I have AT&SF pay statements from the early 1970's, and comparing inflation rates and cost of living adjustments, it's been a long slippery slope.
Sure, lots of things change! But why should the overale VALUE of a job be cast aside for corporate profiteering? Who the hell is going to buy those Hondas when everyone is slowly reduced to the least common denominator? Yeah, those guys are looking for a job- lots of people are. Does that mean we should open the door to widespread job elimination just so Honda and others can make a buck while providing a poor form of deeply discounted employment?
Did you know that Hershey's Oakdale, Calif plant was shut down a few years back so they could make the "great American chocolate bar" down in Mexico? We used to deliver boxcars of cocoa beans to them.
Have a nice life. Let me know how your investigation turns out for some chickens**t offense in your non-union occupation.
