I visit Dixon a lot (weekly or more). We almost bought a house there but decided it was too far away from our grandkids.
TRAC distributes California Rail News papers to the Dixon station, which currently houses the Chamber of Commerce and has some meeting rooms for public use. (That would be me in my old pick-em-up.) It's new construction built to look like the old Dixon SP station, which I remember from the 60s and believe had SP passenger trains stop there. There is some new UP signals that are not functional, but there is no platform there. I've heard, Cap Corridor JPA nixed the idea of an addtional stop in Dixon as being too close to Davis and thus, too harmful to their schedule.
In all my visits there I've never seen a bus stop at the depot so I doubt it's a hub for local transportation.
