For b/w especially, I like my old film negatives. From 35mm with even just a reasonably decent camera (old Nicca then Canon r/f with 1940s-50s Nikon lenses) I can get a very nice-looking 16x20 or even bigger even from color. Hard to do that with digital without spending more than my cars (both of them together) are worth on the camera system and related computer stuff. Will have to check out that Sacto lab - some of my old prints have faded and need replacing. OTOH, everything these days is digital publication (even print), and it's hard to get scans of 35mm that are even 6-7 megapixel so for current work there's no question: digital. And if you want your image to have that vintage look there are several plugins available that emulate various films.
