Well, I do actually still have a typewriter -- for sentimental reasons,
not that I ever expect to use it again. I wrote lots of material on
that typewriter, including when I worked for the news service UPI.

But I also want to point out that I was probably among the first five
per cent or so of people to have a computer at home -- back in the
1980s. I've gone through many generations of computers since. And,
my current "grab-and-go" photo bag is a LowePro photo backpack that
not only holds my digital camera and several lenses but also my
netbook computer. Last Thursday, while waiting to have my car
serviced, I had that bag along and not only did some writing on the
netbook, but also checked my e-mail -- and ATCS Monitor for the local
line to see what was running.
