hey kid look apparently you can't comprehend what you read ... i never said he blew by the signal at 25 ... i said had he been doing 25 and he saw the red signal indication he would've had enough time to stop before bumpig headends ... but not by much ...

i know the length of track between the incoming signal and the engine of #14 was one engine and appoximately 6 1/2 car lengths approximately 575ft ... i also know if he was doing 25 mph it takes approximatley 750-800 ft to stop a train 25 mph to 0 ... so if he was doing 25 and he saw the red signal and applied an emergency brake application before passing the signal he would have had enough time to bring the train to a stop before a collision but like i said not by much ...

you see son right there you show you lack of railroad knowledge for terminology in the field ... here's a hint ... stick to you literacy i'll stick to railroading ... every railroader on this board knows and uses that terminology
