Maybe so, but how does building a brand new ROW quantify the possible revenue since that area has been cut-off from the national RR system for quite some time including a lot of lumber mills closing up? It would make more sense to build a transload center in Willits since north of there is where things get dicey along with the tree huggers. What, the port there in Eureka wants to compete with Oakland and Long Beach? How is opening much less building a container port there in Eureka going to convince an overseas or a USA domestic company to ship to & from it if there are more directional routes and readily available transportation from the greater SF Bay Area including the Port of Oakland and the port in Long Beach?????

And if there are private investors, there is no such thing as a free lunch!
