These are Rushy's "Inconvenient Truths", but then again he does sort of like to flop around aribrarily. If you ignore the past, then you have no real sense of direction towards the future.

This is the first thing you've said which is even partially correct. I have listened to his show, but I don't as a matter of course anymore because he's says things more to inflame emotions than to promote reasonable debate. Playing so fast and free with the truth does not a sound argument make.

This is the typical True Believer defense.

Listening to his show is what lead me to think he's so full of hot air -- he said quite a number of things which I knew at the time to be patently false and/or misleading. I read the other stuff a long time later.

Global warming has been going on for at least 10,000 years, any climatologist will tell you that. To date, it's resulted in a 300-400 foot rise in sea level. What our burning of fossil fuels has done is to accelerate the process over the last 100 years, which makes it a question of how fast do you want to flood all the low-lying areas of the continents. If sea level rises another 30-50 feet, a good 10-20% of my town will be under water. This is going to happen, but why accelerate the process artificially?

As far as citizenship goes, McCain wasn't born in any of the (then) 48 states. What does that make him? If you think Obama is going to "do" anything unconstitutional, your understating of the Constitution and its legislative processes is woefully inadequate. The Shrub on the other hand . . .
You come across as one of those types who is freaked out by a minority finally making it into the White House. So what? "It's their turn in the barrel", why not give "them" a chance? Isn't that what the USA is all about? The Land of Opportunity?
