Thank you for that sad piece of information. Last time I had seen the sign was in 1992 when my wife and I went to Clair to visit my dad. Badly faided, I wish someone could have preserved it. On that trip my wife and I went to Frankfort, where a ferry was stored. Any idea which boat it was?

2 questions: 1) Is the Viking still in Manistee, and 2) I read a news item from earlier this month that the Arthur K. Atkinson (Ann Arbor No. 6) was or will be towed from DeTour for scrapping. Where's it going....or has gone?
