Car Ferry VIKING

When I left the Coast Guard's Canal Station at Sturgeon Bay, the VIKING was tied up in the Menominee River. But I can't recall exactly which side of the river, Marinette or Menominee... I think at some point it moved from one side to the other.

The VIKING was actually the subject of a SAR case I ran at the station. There were some storms, some of her mooring lines parted, and the bow drifted out into the river, risking going aground. We ran across Green Bay in our 41' Utility Boat, not that we could have done much, but they managed to get some new lines on her and winch back to the dock.
