The shape of that grade alignment in the first view reminds me a lot of GN's line change at Rising Wolf, Montana, on the east slope of Marias Pass. There are even more dramatic changes evidenced east of there, between the Two Medicine River and Browning, and beyond. Yes, very addicting, this armchair aerial railfanning/archaeology stuff.
