As reported on last night's CBS 13 news, video from the onboard camera on the RT train clearly shows the crossing protected with the gates down & lights flashing, but the SUV is also clearly shown coming out from behind a vehicle, passing the second vehicle and entering the crossing after going around the gates. The driver of the SUV passed 2 vehicle in front of him to cross the protected crossing. He was ejected from the SUV which suggests that he was not strapped in via the seatbelt as neither was the 22 month old infant in a valid carseat carrier including the women in the SUV not being strapped in either.

I see this a lot in my city where the driver isn't strapped in and the woman or women in the rear seat aren't either including infants & children. From what I've been told, the mentality of the Hispanic community is that if others are in the rear seat, their less likely to be injured because of the seat in front of them.
