Wow...90 seconds. That's enough time to wait patiently, then wonder where the train is, soon become annoyed, begin to consider doing something risky, then making the decision to do just that out of pure, hot frustration.
If the motorist became impatient because the gates came down too soon, that would have given him the perfect opportunity to reach for his personal electronic device and start text messaging his frustrations to everyone on his Facebook friends list. He would have been illegally texting, but he'd still be alive.
So now it's not enough to have flashing red lights, gates and ringing bells to stop motorists. Such devices now have to be finely tuned in their activation so as not to annoy motorists and deprive them of their patience if they're activated for too long.
Yeah, it's everyone's fault buy the motorist!
Sheesh!
