It's obvious Roaring Camp is underfunded, if they weren't they'd standard gauged that thing and
bought some decent diesel locomotives! I'm chuckling at some of Jeff's comments, in truth if they
upgraded the standard gauge to Class 7 track they'd still run 10 mph. Any upgrade beyond the
minimum required for passenger operation is a waste of money. They have neither the axle loadings
or speed requirements for much over Class 1. A decent MOW crew and proper inspection intervals
go a long way. I would think they would be perfectly capable of running the Santa Cruz line and
about the only thing that would sabotage them would natural diasters ie lots of rain.
