Does observation car mean it must be a dome? If so, as far as luxury goes, "The Observatory" is probably my favorite, followed by Bella Vista. The Silver Solarium has a really awesome, incredible staff and the car is maintained beautifully. I would put that car into the category of "industrial charter", and the other two domes I just mentioned would be more like rolling private luxury townhomes.

If I were going to charter a dome with lots of friends for a day trip, I'd go with Silver Lariat or Silver Solarium. For a very small group of close friends or family on a trip that includes overnighting on-board the train, it would be The Observatory or Bella Vista.
