The problem is, what if the farmer and the pig, in their zeal to attain "acceptance" and "normalcy", refuse to confine their activities to the privacy of their barn? What if their "in your face" behavior is as blatant as this Amtrak ad campaign that was probably pushed through by Eldie Acheson?
How much should we be subjected to? How much can or should they "push the limits"? GOOGLE "Folsom Street Fair" (as was referred to in the lead post) and carefully study the photos of people engaging in sodomy and other sex acts, in their course of making a statement, on public sidewalks during a public venue. Once upon a time, people used to have the courage to criticize and speak out against such shameful, scandalous behavior. No more. In this day and age, if they were to speak out, it might hurt someone's feelings.
And when the farmer and pig have no health insurance and, in their wreckless lifestyle they contract weird, uncurable and sometimes lethal sexually transmitted diseases due to their extreme promiscuity, should you and I be expected to pay for their medical bills / hospice care / burial expenses -- all because of (choose one) either a lifestyle choice or their genetic makeup?
I guess the answer to that question is, "yes". And you'd better do it willingly and without asking questions.
No wonder so many people are opposed to socialized healthcare.
