Smitty: This really isn't the forum to discuss statistics but in th spirit of accuracy and openess here's where I get my figure. I teach high school. Our school counsellor and teacher of "Family & Health" uses this figure. It is supported by multiple indepentant studies reported by reputable researchers. However, it can be skewed by multiple marriages/divorces. Finally, long-term studies, some of them ongoing, show no statistically significant impact on the behavior or development of children of gay vs. hetero marriages. What ALL reserach indicates is that parental love and family stability matter far more in child rearing.
